The Harmony Project aims to transform education to ensure it is fit for purpose in preparing young people to engage with the environmental and social challenges. The Project works with educators to develop learning that is based upon a deep understanding of, and connection to, the natural world – learning that will equip students with the skills they need to live more sustainably.

The King’s Foundation School for Traditional Arts
The Prince’s Foundation School for Traditional Arts offers degree courses which are accredited by the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, as well as short courses which are open to the public.
The Sustainable Food Trust takes a leading role in the promotion of sustainable and organic farming. The Trust founded the Harmony Project and its founder, Patrick Holden, is a contributor to the Harmony Debates, the leading collection of essays on Harmony.
David Cadman is a quaker writer and thinker, author of books including Love and the Divine Feminine and The Recovery of Love. He is editor of several volumes of the Prince of Wales’ speeches and a Harmony Professor of Practice at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
The Harmonious Entrepreneurship Society
The Harmonious Entrepreneurship Society was founded by Felicity Healey-Benson of UWTSD’s Institute of Management and Health, and David A Kirby. The Foundations aim is to promote and advance harmonious approaches to entrepreneurship to address the sustainability challenge facing the planet’.
Guerrand-Hermès Foundation for Peace
The Guerrand-Hermès Foundation for Peace is dedicated to the active pursuit of global peace, beginning with the recognition that in order to effect enduring positive change and transformation in the world, the individual ought to start from a deeper connection with his/her/their inner life and spirituality. In 2021 the Foundation and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David joined together to found the Global Humanity for Peace Institute under the Directorship of Dr Scherto Gill.
The Temenos Academy is an educational charity which offers education in philosophy and the arts in the light of the sacred traditions of East and West. It is currently collaborating with the Harmony Institute.
The Harmony Institute is collaborating with the College of Medicine and Integrated Health, which is actively taking forward the search for integrated and holistic solutions to healthcare in the UK.
John Sauven, who was Greenpeace UK’s Executive Director from 2007 to 2022, is a UWTSD Harmony Professor of Practice. Through John, the Harmony Institute is in sympathy with Greenpeace’s campaigning approach. John’s paper on ‘Harmony and the Climate Crisis’ is published in the Harmony Debates.
Tony Juniper, a UWTSD Harmony Professor of Practice, was Chair of Friends of the Earth International from 2000-2008, and became Chair of Friends of the Earth UK in 2003. Tony is currently Chair of Natural England. Tony’s chapter on ‘Harmony and Natural Capital’ is published in the Harmony Debates.
The Lampeter Permaculture Group is a collective of like-minded people in the Lampeter area, in mid Wales, around the UWTSD’s Lampeter campus, who are interested in the practice and principles of permaculture and sustainable living. Angie Polkey, one of the group’s members, wrote the chapter on ‘Harmony and Permaculture’, published in the Harmony Debates.
The Soil Association was founded in 1945 to campaign against intensive farming and promote organic approaches. Helen Browning, Chief Executive of the Soil Association, is a contributor to the Harmony Debates.
The Ellen MacArthur Foundation
The Ellen MacArthur foundation, founded by the round-the-world solo sailor, is dedicated to promoting the ‘circular economy’, in which no resource should ever be wasted rather than reused. Ellen’s chapter on ‘The Circular Economy’ was published in the Harmony Debates.
Tomorrow’s Company is an independent think-tank dedicated to finding ways in which business can be a force for good. Tomorrow’s Company’s founder, Mark Goyder, contributed a chapter on ‘Rediscovering the Human Purposes of Business’ to the Harmony Debates.
The Square Food Foundation teaches cookery skills on the grounds that an ability to prepare the best produced food is central to our health and the health of the planet. The Foundation’s Founder, Barny Haughton, is engaged with developments on the Lampeter campus of UWTSD.
The Centre for Alternative Technology
The Centre for Alternative Technology is an educational charity based in west Wales and is dedicated to researching and communicating positive solutions for environmental change.
Resurgence and Ecologist, published, bi-monthly, explores positive perspectives on a range of engaging topics covering ecology, social justice, philosophy, spirituality, sustainable development and the arts.
The Ecological Citizen is a peer-reviewed, online, ecocentric journal, edited by Patrick Curry, a former tutor in the Sophia Centre at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
Harmony in Health promotes the quest for balance as a means to better health, both in ourselves and with our environments.
The Harmony Institute collaborates with the British Wheel of Yoga.
